Buying a crop insurance policy is just one of many risk management tools available for your operation. Producers should always carefully consider how a crop insurance policy will work in conjunction with their other risk management strategies to insure the best possible outcome each crop year. Crop Insurance Services can assist you in developing a good management plan through the use of crop insurance.
While USDA's Risk Management Agency (RMA) provides policies for more than 100 crops, production-based (APH/MPCI) and/or revenue-based (CRC/RA) policies are available for most major crops in your area. Let CIS help determine which policy is best for your operation and risk management needs. Note though:
We highly recommend revenue-based coverage such as CRC or RA. 95% of our clients agree with us!
We are the only full-time, exclusive crop insurance agency in the area. In addition, our agency is one of a few in the nation offering free GPS mapping for our clients. Our knowledge of crop insurance combined with our understanding production and financial risks associated with raising a crop, enables us to tailor a risk management package specific to your operation. We are experts in crop insurance; it's all we deal with. For more information on some of the different crop insurance policies available, visit our Insurance Policies Page.
